Automotive Support Engineer



Position Overview:

We are looking for a Support Engineer to join us in a project for automotive domain and work full-time for this day shift position.

As an Automotive Technical Support Engineer you will work using a Remedy ticketing system. You will be part of a team who has to provide a solution within a time frame ranging from 1 h to 4 days based on the severity of the incidents that are sent over to us with a brief analysis.

As part of our team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Process incoming tickets – classify them, analyze them and solve them;
  • Analyze root cause of the multiple identical tickets;
  • Analyze and link certain tickets to Problem tickets;
  • Monitor servers;
  • Be involved in system optimization (if you find a possible improvement, report it to upper support level);
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Requirements:

  • Must have worked with Kibana, Grafana and Dynatrace (or similar service monitoring tools) in the past;
  • Experience with Postman/Insomnia/any other API tool;
  • Understanding of REST APIs and micro-services;
  • Root cause analysis of difficult and/or critical cases;
  • Experience with software containers and related technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS);
  • Good knowledge of SQL queries;
  • Experience with OpenShift or similar;
  • Experience with MySQL and Oracle database; handling data and automation creation, like pgAgents jobs. The ability to set up databases in these environments is not relevant for this position;
  • Strong writing and verbal skills in English (the job will be mostly in English);
  • Analytical person with great attention to detail;
  • Can easily understand how the system works and how different tools interact with each other.
  • Would be a plus:

  • German language (both written and spoken) is a major plus;
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence;
  • Experience with end-to-end monitoring of micro-services, including the infrastructure and platform-level monitoring.
